The History of
VIMCO Inc.
Encouraged to begin a manufacturing business by
friends and neighbors, the Wood
family of the Buffalo, NY area established Vimco in 1919. Vimco
stands for Victory One Manufacturing Company, aptly named since WWI had
recently come to a welcome close. The Wood’s owned and operated
Vimco until the mid 1970’s when it was purchased by the Fisher family of
Java, NY. Since that time Vimco has acquired the lamp manufacturing of
National Morelight Company and The Body Electric Company. Vimco remains dedicated to providing you
with the quality materials and unequaled service you have come to depend
on.
